Kim,
If I'm recalling correctly my dinner at Jury's - I had a dish of chicken breast sliced and served/mixed with linguini and some vegetables, and it was a generous portion. My friend had crab cakes, and didn't finish them because he said they didn't taste much like crab was mixed in. This was our first and only visit to Jury's.
I've been to the Barleycorn a half-dozen times now - after work on the deep discount nights. I've grown accustomed to the fish and chips. The breading on the fish is light and the fish is done just right (moist yet firm). The potatoes are served cut in a waffle pattern and accompanied by some good slaw. I particularly like the malt vinegar and the tartar sauce condiments. Portions have been generous. Wednesday was (maybe still is) all-you-can-eat fish and chips, for $9. I've also tried the Salmon with portabella mushroom served over angel hair pasta, and the grilled chicken breast over pasta with a marinara sauce and I like those dishes as well. From the sandwich side of the menu I like the tuna melt on black bread. From the long list of alcoholic beverages - I've become a fan of Blue Moon Belgian Ale, and the Barleycorn offers it on tap and fresh (for, I think - $2 a pint on Mon., Tue., and Wed.).
