Got it. The list above has been updated and name tags have been printed. We still have room for 2 more attendees if there are any takers . . . and we can certainly write those name tags by hand if there are.

I'm very much looking forward to celebrating with everyone, having some great food and participating in the gift exchange. And we already have our donation for the Greater Chicago Food Depository ready to go.

Any advice on parking? Such as off-limits side streets and such? I'm assuming it is essentially a typical find the Pay and Park machine situation, but it's always nice to know if there is anything to look out for. Oh -- and love to know about Lincoln Towing signs to watch out for. Was dining with a friend recently and walked out of the restaurant to find the car gone. So any warnings or advice, if any is necessary, would be great.

We've been to Pearl's a handful of times and have always found parking nearby right on Broadway (pay boxes). Just avoid bank parking lots and the like that may have towing, and you should be fine.

Meters on Broadway and the half blocks immediately east or west of Broadway on Balmoral and Berwyn. The meters on Balmoral may end at 6 PM, whereas on Broadway it's 10 PM. No zoned parking in the area so if you're willing to walk a block or so, you can find free. For CTA denizens, the Berwyn L stop is just over a block away and the 36 Broadway bus stops at Balmoral both directions.

You generous LTHers donated $835 to the Greater Chicago Food Depository, along with two big baskets of canned food.

I'm so sorry I had to miss out on seeing you all last night, but Chouxfly stepped in for me and you all came through like champs.

Thank you, all. You did good, and many Chicagoans will benefit from your generosity.
