last weekend, we did a bit of bricktown square eating, taq. la oaxaquena on diversey, pollo campero and Bonnie's.

I had noticed Bonnie's wooden sign out front advertising italian lemonade a number of times, but had never tried it. So the other day when the kids were getting contentious in the car we decided to break it up by stuffing their face full of sweet icy goodness at Bonnie's.

Bonnie's has a nice selection of flavors - lemon, raspberry, pinapple, coconut, banana, and pina colada. We sampled the first four. The texture was finer than say Johnnie's, more helado like. In the Lemon the peel was chopped fine in there, my son thought this gave it an overall bitterness, bt I enjoyed the true lemon flavor, especially as all the flavors were without the over sweetness some ice has, especially the flavored ices. the overall favorite of all of us was the raspberry, even with the occasional seed, very deep true raspberry flavor. The proprietress (Bonnie) was very welcoming as well. We ate out front at the little outside table

Bonnie's is at cornelia & Narragansett. I don't know how much longer they will be offering italian ice.

    P.S.
outside of taq. la oaxaquena, there was a a vendor offering little grilled pork pinchos. Anyone tried those?
