    Hello!
I was thinking of making a reservation for an anniversary at Cite at Lake Point Tower, and just wanted to throw a line out to see if anyone has any opinions on dining there.

    Thanks!

I just heard that they are re-concepting over the next few months with a new chef, who was the original chef at Rushmore. It will supposedly be a little less formal. I haven't been there for so long because I thought the food was lousy and very expensive, but I enjoyed Rushmore when it first opened so the change could be a good thing.

Cite has always suffered from the great view-overpriced food syndrome. According to Chicago Magazine's Dish, they're getting a new chef and re-concepting, but not until after the first of the year. My guess is they won't be trying very hard to improve the current concept in the mean time.

    More info here.

I echo the replies on paying a premium for the view with average food. However, my experience is several years old. For a better view, IMO, and somewhat better food, you may wish to consider Riva on Navy Pier.

The very best food with a view in town is at Everest.
