I mentioned (er bored) a LTHers about how good Harry Potter books on tape are. And it is thrusting the VI family on roadtrip after roadtrip. I think this weekend might just be the McHenry County Fair and I am practically begging Suzy for an LTH event at John's Pizzeria (OK not begging but I hope she catches my drift....). So, I am interested if anyone has any intel on these places mentioned in a VERY earlie edition of the Stern's RoadFood. Obviously, I can google myself (or even do a Nexis search), but I am curious right now on direct knowledge of these places, as my source data is so old.
Borders on the River, a bit NW of Milwaukee. I went here many years ago, about 92ish.
Richard's Farm, Casy Illinois, s'posed to have great farm dinners and real persimmon puddin' in the fall.
The White Mill, Monnmouth, Illinois, source for giant tenderloin sammy's and other farm fare.
In addition to the above, anyone have any good suggestions for similiar type of places.
Thanks in Advance.
