does anyone know about the quality of the BBQ turned out by the Chicago Smoke folks? i noticed (according to the reader) they'll have an all-you-can-eat set up tomorrow at the empty lot next to Inas Kitchen downtown.

i was gonna plan a (first time) trip to Barbara Ann's.....and while this may be different ...if they crank out quality Q it may be an alternative option......as i'll have guests in from out of town ...

    any info is appeciated.

    thanks in advance,
    mw

    Whitesnake,

Never actually ate BBQ cooked by Chicago Smoke, but I've met the owner a couple of times and he is serious about BBQ. Chicago Smoke's a regular on the BBQ competition circuit and should turn out some pretty good BBQ.

Yes, I know, I'm a couple of days late on my response and the event has passed, but if the opportunity comes up again I'd suggest giving Chicago Smoke a go.

    Enjoy,
    Gary

According to their web site, Chicago Smoke will be at Ina's on Aug. 13th and Sept. 3rd.

Also at the North Halsted Market Days on Aug. 6th & 7th.
