There was a hotdog stand across the street from the park that closed down over a year ago. Has something opened in its place?

That used to be my neighborhood hotdog stand. I'm sorry to hear that it is no longer. It was located on the 900 block of Green Bay Rd in Winnetka, right across the street from the Hubbard Woods Metra station.

Yes Trixie....i used to work there a while back since my uncle owned it. I know that there was an effort to reopen it but ran into some resistance from the city. There were plans to open up something else in that area.

is there something there now or is the building still vacant?

The building remains vacant, with no sign of any activity.

    Hi,

In fact, I believe the sign in the windows is still thanking people for their years of patronage. Was it always a hot dog stand or did it have another use as an early gas station? It has some of the styling characteristics you see in early gas stations.

I believe the building was transported there. It used to be called the Toddle House back in the day.
