In addition to the Roti Wraps discussed in the earlier thread, they offer 5 curry options: chicken, crab and dumpling, shrimp, goat, and salmon. A couple different stews, fried chicken, snapper, perch, and few vegetarian options.
I decided to play it safe and ordered the Curry Chicken. 3 pieces of chicken served with rice and peas, a slice or roti, and one side. I ordered the potato and chana.
The food and service were both very good. Adding their pepper sauce helped a bit. My server was very happy to answer my many questions. I found out they have been open since September and recently added Mondays to their regular hours. I was also happy to find that they accept visa and mastercard since I almost never carry cash. A good addition to a stretch of road with many fine options.
Add a "ditto" to the above - made it there on the way to Barbara Ann's a
week ago. Stopped in for only a few minutes (it was about 4 pm) and was
the only one there - too late for lunch-rush, too early for dinner-rush. I
went with the roti-wrap - the jerk-chicken-roti-wrap, figuring itd be
small and I was picking up something from BA anyway. It turned out to
be larger than expected, and pretty good too, a nice flavour to the
whole thing. The nice thing is that its a sit-down place, with some decent
Carribean music playing int he background - a nice change from all the
carryout spots.
And as you say is *is* now open on Mondays - however the big plus IMHO is
that its open on *Sundays*. That was often a bad day to be on the Southside,
with BA's etc all closed - this will now be a great option for Sundays in the
summer IMHO. Its very conveniently on the way to BA's too (between BA's
and the highway if you take 75th down to Cottage Grove) - but really
combining the two means a little too much good food for a single day
