    Hi all:

So I was thinking a while ago that summer might be a bit of a challenge for the food exchange. Many foods that freeze well, such as stews and soups might be a bit less interesting in the summer heat. And with all the bounty of the season, it's a bit easier to keep meals a bit more interesting. Given that and given that I don't see that anyone's posted a date for a June gathering, I was thinking we may want to take a summer hiatus, and start back the second Monday in October? How does that sound?

I think that is a great idea.

That makes sense to me as well. I thought of September as a possibility to start up again, but then realized that the second Monday in September is the day after the LTH picnic, so October seems wise.

    HI,

I'll miss it, but I guess it will be all the sweeter next October.
