I will bring fixings for margaritas (Jim, I believe you like tequila so I'm hoping you like margarita's as well?) and some cookie-type dessert. Maybe if I have time I'll bake some white sandwich bread. I sadly cannot contribute to the chair or table situation.

I'm assuming we should all coordinate some carpools, perhaps?

I can bring 4 chairs, two for us and two for anyone else who needs one, I also have a long folding table, the Target kind that I'd be happy to bring. I'm still thinking about beverages, but I'd be happy to make potato salad and another salad to be determined or maybe cornbread which I always associate with BBQ.

It looks like we are in great shape on the sides, etc.

We need some more folks willing to bring out smokers. Too bad some of the other bbq enthusiasts on the board I see post arn't interested up to this point.

    Jim,

I will bring out at least one smoker, probably my WSM 22.5. I'll also bring out a couple of bags of lump charcoal and wood chunks. If I bring an off-set smoker, doubtful due to size/transportation issues, I will bring wood splits as well.

Please add my wife, MsWiv, to the guest list.

    Looking forward to May 9th.

    Enjoy,

sounds good either way Gary, I had you on the list, and will add your wife.

what will you be preparing? I am looking forward to that for sure.

I am doing a test run on the ribs this weekend, and the next couple of weekends to get my rub and a few other things straight. I am also hoping to bring back some sausage from Wisconsin when I go up for a meeting on Friday as well. If not I will go to Reams in ELburn, or Czimers in Homer Glenn in the next few weeks for some sausage.

Would there be a small space of grill that we could do a small salmon for my pescatarian veggie partner? If not that's ok, we have a friend who refuses to let fish touch their grill so we won't be offended! We can always bring a smoked one for her. Me..... I'm looking forward to MEAT!!!

I would imagine after pulling off the ribs and sausage on my smoker, or on other folks smokers there will be room & enough heat left to cook this. If not my kitchen is yours.

Thanks Jim! Like I said, we have a friend who is VERY adament about no fish even though her husband loves it. Refuses to even touch it so I can understand people who are purists about their meat.

If there's still room, skess and myself would love to attend. Since there's only one appetizer listed so far, we'll try to fill that hole by bringing deviled eggs. I'm sorry that we don't have a smoker or chairs to contribute.

We're going to make a black bean mango salad and tabouli of some variation. Both are cold and we'll bring a cooler so we won't be taking up fridge space. Also probably some app like a cheese tray.

FWIW, I updated list above. Everyone who is posting their dishes, please go upthread and refer to the "list." Thanks.

As it appears that we have a lot of side dishes, I will move into the "Dessert" realm. I will be bringing fried candy bars. Kidding. I will bring some type of pie. The next time I update the list, I will update it to reflect this and subsequent changes.
