Here is some information I got from my fish purveyor. I thought I would share.
It may influence your entree selection early next week


Available for Tuesday:
Fresh Pacific Halibut – Large H&G fish (15/25-lbs each) caught in the open ocean off the Baja Mexican coast line.
The fish was harvested today-Friday March 17, 2009...it is super fresh sushi quality. More should be harvested Saturday. Available Whole or Fillets $
Very Limited availability – please order ASAP to ensure delivery.

I think he's saying that chicago restaurants are going to have access to high quality halibut next week, and we should think about ordering halibut if we see it on a menu.

I'm mostly confused to learn that March 17th, 2009 is a Friday.

I received this from Plitt Seafood and I was just trying to pass it along
I do not work for a seafood company I do however sometimes receive information like this and I was just trying to be helpful. Plitt is the biggest seafood supplier in the Midwest and if you eat fish out then you have probably eaten plitt fish.



The general idea of the story is that Halibut should be very fresh and available in some quantity this weekend and next week early.
