    NEW TIME: Thursday 3/12, 12:30

    I'm jonesing for vegetarian (non-Khan BBQ) Indian today. The best place for that is Udupi Palace, but it's hopeless to go there by yourself, the portion sizes are too huge. Anyone want to meet me there? I suggest 12:15, but am flexible.

    I wish I had seen this earlier. I've been scanning for the LTH logo on the side of posts and missed this suggestion entirely. I was almost going there myself but went to Ben Tre instead.

    How about Wednesday or Thursday?

    I realize this doesn't have the instant appeal of some pork-laden lunch, but believe me, Udupi is plenty good, I hereby officially fling a craving on you.

    ChgoMike and I had a nice time and some damned tasty food, you shoulda been there!

    This spinach dosa has jalapeno or habanero or something peppers in it; even after removing them, it was plenty hot.

    Okra, a perfect dish for two, because one can't eat it all before it cools down and the okra gets slimy. We also had an eggplant dish in a tomato-onion sauce that sort of tasted like Chinese food.

    I'm pretty much the last person to have a favorite vegetarian restaurant, but suffice it to say all the candidates are on Devon. An excellent meal.
