I'm hosting a cooking class next weekend and I'm opening it up to fellow LTHers.
When - Sunday, February 8
Time - 1pm - 4pm/4:30pm
Where - our home, details in link below
To help demystify Filipino cuisine, I'll teach you the ins and outs of the food that I grew up on and enjoy preparing. You'll learn hands on in the kitchen and enjoy Filipino cuisine unlike any restaurant experience in the city.
Many Filipino kitchens prepare various kinds of stews as their main meal. These stews often involve combining meats and vegetables with a sauce or gravy (sabaw) that is eaten with rice. In this class, we'll prepare the following stews and enjoy the following menu:
- Kare Kare (Oxtail & peanut stew)
- Sinigang Ng Baboy (Tamarind pork stew)
- Kanin (white rice)
- Lumpiang Shanghai (filipino eggrolls)
- Kalamansi fruit punch
- Langka (jackfruit) ice cream
