It looks like a ribbon of soft serve custard mounding on itself either at Culver's or Kopp's. Though it is probably neither, that is what the photo suggests to me!

My dairy sensitivities prohibit bovine photography. (Yet this did not prevent me from chugging a quart of Oberweis chocolate milk in the middle of the night. I may have to call into work today for "drinking too much.")

She may very well be Asian, I have no idea. Only Asians I've seen there have been the occasional customer.

Gary, the time I was a semi-(reluctant)-regular of Clara and James was in the late 90's. Then, THEE kindly "Clara and James" were Asian, of what flavor I do not know. The only nod to this fact in the food was the presence of fried rice on the menu.

I never sampled the fried rice (search Gooffle's future caching pre-archives for my award winning post "I Hate Rice©" on this forum) but I could be caught secretly scarfing down liver and onions or other "don't cook this at home" fare.

I always imagined that "Clara and James" were the assumed names of whatever owners happened to pilot this joint at a particular time. I imagine a long line of Claras and James's, different faces and different nationalities, spanning the ages. Like the Dread Pirate Roberts.

I drive past the Bunny Hutch 2-3 times a week, make an annual post announcing the opening, solely for the benefit of Harry V, who has ~strong feelings about Bunny Hutch, and still miss by a country mile. Geeeesh

I had just hunted up Harry V's original lament to find you have linked to it also.

I have to admit Ramon this was a shot in the dark. It was the only rabbit themed food emporium I knew of, though I am sure thrilled I was right!

I was certaintly aware of the history. If you had not posted the links, I would have (if you missed them go back!). I felt quite foolish standing in the mini-snowstorm yesterday taking these pics, but I thought of it was my way to try to add a little bit of (twisted) sunshine.

Oh, man, a good one Ramon...I've been to Bunny Hutch many a time when I have played Mini Golf at Novelty Golf. Ahhh the memories.
