When I took this photo, my thought was that this place had never been mentioned on LTH. Turns out I'm wrong--it's appeared in a couple. In response to one of the previous questions, it does indeed serve breakfast, starting at 5 a.m. and even at 2 in the afternoon some of the customers were ordering it. I had the namesake entree instead. Okay, but nothing I'd be writing about if I hadn't had my camera with me after a visit with the grandkids and if this thread weren't around so I could show off the mural.

Great hunk of broccoli, though, perhaps as a result of the neighborhood it's in.

Grilled chicken, mediocre looking pita, salsa rojo, I'm guessing it's a mexican/central american grilled chicken place, maybe in albany park.

And it's ok for me to guess, because I honestly have no clue where it is :)

edit: Wait, neighborhood it's in is filled with broccoli lovers? I'm outta ideas.

No and no. Neighborhood is a good source for broccoli. In fact there were so many broccoli gatherers on a Saturday afternoon that I had to wait for a parking space.

    (Stan's) Chirp'n Chicken?
    1543 N Elston
    Chicago, Illinois 60622-2421
    (773) 772-0004

Do they still have the sign up warning (potential? aspiring?) Johns that the police are cracking down?

    :D :D :D :D It's a winner!

Right across Elston from Stanley's Fruits and Vegetables.

But if they had signs up warning the Johns to watch out I missed them-- to my regret.
