Thank you, JeffB, for answering that one! I can now sleep soundly tonight. Seth’s cropping was very clever. The full name of the place is Fox’s Beverly Pub, 9956 S Western. I was completely fooled by the lower half of Beverly, thinking it was the main name of the restaurant.

I was sure it said "Cowboy" and kept searching for "Cowboy Pizza" somewhere in Chicago.

Visted on the long ago Westernathon an hour or so before you hooked up with us. I'm not sure if Seth would see it this way, but in some ways, you can say Fox's is responsible for the hit show, Mayor's Mouth.

You see we put in a couple of orders for Fox's pizza, and then while waiting, went off to the infamous wine dungeon-dog grooming shop, where we all bought our copies of the recipes of famous Chicagoan's book.

Fox's pizza was OK, thin in the same vein as Vito and Nick's. Like V&N, I remember the pizza as having been marred by too much corn flour on the crust.

Here's a pic from Fox's ordering counter. Pizzamatic in foreground, oven is a Cutler.

I remember liking Fox's pizza, thin crust, somewhat crisp, but have not been back since the Westernathon.

By the way, this one totally stumped me, even though I've been there and, also, tend to notice the place when I drive past.

    Good one Seth.

    Enjoy,
