Northfield-based Kraft Foods may be under pressure to sell off some of its most recognizable products -- including Grey Poupon mustard, A-1 Steak Sauce, and Toblerone chocolate bars.

With that in mind, we’re declaring a little contest. Send us a recipe that incorporates all three: that’s Grey Poupon, A-1 steak sauce, and Toblerone.

We’ll pick the best recipe, and the Eight Forty-Eight staff will buy the winner a steak sauce-chocolate-mustard gift bag ... suitable for shelving.

Kraft also reportedly has a deal in the works to sell Post cereals, so extra bonus points if you can work in some Fruity Pebbles.

    Hi,

Kraft owns Toblerone, though it was once a European company.

I am totally confident that Hammond could turn these into one of his moles for his Thanksgiving turkey.

    Yup.

In fact, Kraft has their fingers in hundreds of products that you would never suspect. In my field of Barbecue Sauce, in addition to their own line of products, they also own Bullseye Barbecue Sauce. They do not have any Kraft identification anywhere on the bottle. The label identifies the location of the company in Texas, if I recall correctly, but they are owned by Kraft.

Kraft also owns multiple frozen pizza lines, cookies, salad dressings, cereals, and other food products that do not bear their name.

So, you were surprised by Toblerone but not Grey Poupon?

Right you are, Ann; it's almost too easy. It might be fun -- and more challenging -- to try to incorporate additional Kraft products into the mole, as well (marshmallows, Planter's peanuts, perhaps some Bonox).
