    Hey,

I've got a little catering company, and while we've got coverage for business liability (through Hartford) and our pork truck (through Safeco), I'm having trouble getting coverage for our trailer-mounted smoker at a reasonable cost. Anyone have something similar? Hey, this is LTH, you never know. Ours is a 6' Southern Yankee rotisserie. I <heart> it, more than a girl should <heart> any cooking device. The Southern Yankee boys all have theirs insured through a company that doesn't cover Illinois.

If anyone's got an outstanding insurance agent, let me know. We'd probably have to get everything covered as a package deal.

    Pic attached (I hope).

    Thanks,
    Grace

I was doing some work for a 501(c)3 and we were told numerous times that our auto policies always covered that which we were towing, but I'd check further with your agent on it.

That is one fine-looking piece of cooking equipment.

Sorry, no helpful advice, just admiration.

We're covered for liability as long as we're towing it with the truck. So if it breaks loose and crushes someone's Lexus, we're golden. I'm looking for theft/damage/comprehensive.

It *is* pretty. Even prettier when it has the 2 big chrome smokestacks mounted. If you look closely, I think you can see where Gwiv drooled on it ;-)

I know it has been 8 months, but if this is still an issue for you I'm sure I can find one of the carriers we rep to cover the smoker (while most likely saving you significant premium on the General Liability & Commercial Auto policy as well). Let me know if I can help!
