A pale, greeny straw color with sharp aromas of apple/grapefruit and a hint of apricot precede a tight, crispy palate of green apples and slightly hard minerality. Dry and nicely persistent finish.

Slightly hard minerality is an understatement. Had this last week- meh.

It was acceptable at best. This was more of a personal taste issue. Clearly you do like it, but it's not what I'd drink or serve.

I'm going to qualify this in the sense that the only reason I really drink a decent amount of Riesling is in specific to look for pairings (it goes with a lot of foie gras preparations for me). This wine didn't come out as balanced to me and laid pretty heavy on the mineral side. I wanted to see a little more airy-ness and crisp nature to it without feeling like I licked a side of limestone.

Fair enough, as you said its a personal issue. Although I would happily drink this if it were served to me by a friend I wouldn't go out of my way to stock any in the cellar.
