I wonder if this might be a little too obvious. We shall see. By the way, Googling “drive in” chicago “established 1963” probably won’t be of much help. (Since we have two #76s, I went ahead and skipped #79.)

To zero in, it’s south of Cermak, north of 35th, east of Ashland, west of Halsted. That doesn’t leave many major streets and excludes Ken-Tone’s Drive In (but the photo of the sign ruled that out already).

Yes, Stan’s. Give that man a sloppy joe (Tuesdays only). Stan’s shouldn’t be a complete secret. It’s only a few blocks past Bridgeport Bakery and was featured in Streets & San Man’s Guide.
