In the spirit of the Household Food Exchange, square foot gardening, and just a bit of greening, would anyone be interested in getting together somewhere (preferably north of the loop) to swap seed packets you aren't using, half-used packets, house-grown seeds, etc?

I have a bunch of partially used seed packages, including three varieties of tomatoes (San Marzano, Brandywine and a yellow one), a red bell pepper, thyme, tomatillos. All I'm looking for right now is Jalapenos (Biker Billy hybrids are particularly nice -- haven't had them in a few years).

Just posted a shout-out that I've got seeds to spare (though I don't think I've got jalapenos, have to check.) How about a seed meetup dinner?

    Hi,

While I haven't any seeds, I could pot up some Chinese Chives for anyone interested. They do a fine job of seeding themselves if you don't knock off the flower after it finishes blooming in August. The seedlings are now about two inches and very convenient to transfer.

I also have some hostas, though they are not edible.

    Regards,
    Cathy2

Cathy, any way you would have any of these to bring out to the BBQ in May? Id love to plant some of these chives, and see if they survive the foraging by the local deer, and turkey.
