Heritage Prairie Winter Festival January 31, 2009 from 1pm to 5pmHeritage Prairie is proudly sponsoring this event to help raise funds for the Burgin Family Farm to replace cattle stolen in the fall of 2008. Celebrate winter with local foods and outdoor fun by taking part in our Winter Festival! Here are some activities you can enjoy during the day. We'll be sampling local products from our farm and from other nearby farms. Join in farm tours, or watch Chef Jeremy Lycan of Niche restaurant give a demonstration. Bring skates or skis and enjoy being outdoors. Then warm up with local grilled sausages, burgers, and chili along with homemade s'mores toasted on the bonfire. We'll be serving local beers, wines, and sodas. There will be crafts inside and pony rides outside for your children. Tickets for the Winter Festival are $25 per adult and $5 per child(under 3 for free). The event will come to a close with the raffle drawing for our Burgin Cattle Rustlin' Fundraiser.
Burgin Cattle Rustlin' FundraiserRaffle tickets are available for purchase at Heritage Prairie Market. Tickets cost $10 each or 3 for $20.
