    ....is yours for the asking at the original Lou Mitchell's on Jackson. It's whatever is the opposite of the abomination served at Dunkin' Donuts. Large, plentiful shards of course-cut coconut on just the right amount of vanilla icing on top of an impossibly fresh, moist, light-as-a-feather sinker.

    While you're there, you might want to sample a piece of their white coconut cake....probably from the same source. Emblematic of the genre.

    Other suggestions in this world?

    As I have mentioned before, the source of the pastries at Lou Mitchell's is Bridgeport Bakery, although I'm not sure that the cakes (They yellow with chocolate fudge frosting is my favorite) come from Bridgeport. The danish and doughnuts definately do.
