Service was terrible. The waitress completely ignored us the whole night and threw away our gift certificate! Food was mediocre. My order was brought to me wrong also. Please don't go here unless you have time to waste.

On Halsted.. Food wasn't bad, we went for the environment and there were tons of people there around 8. We ended up getting terrible service and that is enough to persuade me not to go back.

That pretty well mirrors my experience from two years ago. Try Sappori across the street. It is surprisingly good new Italian.

Solstice is a good bar, and nothing else. The food is incredibly overpriced given both the quality and service.

Agreed on Sappori. We've never had a bad meal there. They have my favorite lobster ravioli in town.

Personally I like Solstice as a bar, and felt like I was going out on a limb trying their brunch...I have to tell you though I LOVED it! They have great coffee (if the servers remember to fill your copy) and a great mix of egg dishes and sweets. I love the peanut butter & jelly french toast. They have a great patio too. I agree the service is not good, but if you're in the mood to sit outside somewhere for brunch and you don't want to wait in line forever go to Solstice.

You get points with idine if you have an account, and they have coupons on restaurant.com

That's exactly what I had - a GC from restaurant.com and used them becasuse they were on the rewardsnetwork (idine). If I had to pay full price, I'd be steaming mad.
