that's right. the pictures were nuked by a plain clothed Chicago PD officer at Auto Impound #2 earlier this week. unbeknownst and unnotified by any signage, I apparently broke the law by taking pix of my car @ the impound. CPD later seized my camera then proceeded to delete the mentioned pix along w/ shots of the tofu flower/buns/et al. under the
Patriot Act. Apparently freshly made tofu flower (
previously discussed here) can raise the terror alert level?
Golden Horse, in the tradition of St. Anna, Chiu Quon, Captain, etc. is a full service Cantonese style Bakery.
hilites:
fresh soymilk
fresh tofo flower
egg custard pastries
and my fave: dried pork bun filled with mayo.
the rest of the menu fits the
lunch under $5 list with many Cantonese soup noodles (freshly made whole shrimp and pork wontons really hits the spot) and 2 dozen **** over rice plates under $5.
minus: the polo buns have no filling, making it a lil less attractive than st. anna's counterpart.
