I know very little about dining in the burbs, so am somewhat daunted by the task of planning dinner for 4 tomorrow night in Arlington Heights/ Rolling Meadows, where we'll be attending a convention. Any suggestions for places that are within 5-10 minutes of the track area (meeting is at the Sheraton)?

Any cuisine, any price, any level of sophistication. Just good.

    Thanks!

You have a couple of choices: Le Titi de Paris is right off of 53 on Dundee about 15 minutes from the Sheraton. There is also another place west on Dundee in Palatine called Arnella's this is their 2nd location. I've been to the first one and it was quite good, homemade pasta, etc. There's also a Johnny's Beef on Arlington Hts road that Evil Ronnie and I have been too. 5 minutes from the Sheraton. Enjoy any or all of it

Korean BBQ is always nice for a group of four, and a good one's just an exit or two away off Rte. 53.

    Woo Lae Oak

Another suggestion would be La Tasca, a tapas place in downtown Arlington Heights (just the other side of the tracks from Rt 14 and Dunton, just a few minutes away).

In the same neighborhood as Le Titi de Paris is Rokbonki, an above-average teppanyaki (Japanese cook-on-the-table). They're in the Ridge Shopping Center on the north side of Dundee, between 53 and Arlington Heights Road.

Also in downtown Arlington Heights is Wildfish, a suburban branch of Starfish. Another Japanese option might be Kitakata, discussed in this thread.

I also like Yanni's for Greek food at the NE corner of Arlington Heights Rd & Algonquin Rd.
