I'm now working night in Itasca right around Thorndale and 53. The guys that have been working there for a while tell me the only places open are McDonalds and Steak & Shake. Everything else closes at midnight. But I'm hoping there are a few other places that these guys just don't know about. And thus, I come to the experts.

I'm not really looking for sit-down type places. More like simple pizza, wings and that type of stuff.

there really isnt all that much in Itasca..you can shoot south on 53 to Lake street inAddison..tons of fast food, pizza joints and sit down
There is Diamond Lil's in Roselle straight west of itasca on Irving Park Road..its a neighborhood bar with bar type food and pizza but they are open past midnight and the food is good..gets crowded on weeknds though..there used to be a Buds there too that had great bar food but they got closed down ..too many minors drinking :)
i think after midnight bars are your only choice for grub

The Krispy Kreme on Devon in EGC is open 24 hours. Not too far north is Woodfield mall which has...mall food -

There's a Shaw's, Maggiano's etc. And I think the kitchen at The Curraugh pub is open late. They serve a respectable Shapherd's pie and a pint.

Thanks guys. I knew about the Krispy Kreme. There's also a Dunkin' Donuts around there too. The Woodfield mall suggestions is interesting, but how late are they actually open? I can't imagine that they'd be open at 3am. But the bar suggestions are good ones.
