    1) My wife and I were out in the Michigan ave area yesterday and stopped at Buca di Beppo. I did not realize it was a chain restaurant. The good thing I can say about it is if you have a large family that is visiting you and you find yourselves in the Mag Mile area, this place will feed your brood without busting your wallet. The amounts of food served were almost obscene. I only had their garlic bread; which was more like a garlic pizza. And a side order of sphagetti, which is more than a full order in most places. My wife had the macaroni chicken with a creamy marinara sauce. The good part is the pastas were really al dente without the mushiness you find in most places like Olive garden etc. And the cream sauce was really delicious. Dessert was a brick size sourdough bread pudding. And this was the small! All in all an Faux southern italian chain. But the pasta was al dente. Go if you have 20 people and do not want to pay a LOT.

    2) If you are an avid eater of seafood, Shedd aquarium http://www.sheddaquarium.org has a right bite card that you can carry in your wallet that tells you what fish to eat and what to avoid. You can either download it from the site or go to Shedd and pick one up. If you are there on Friday mornings, you may even see me volunteering on the floor! Ihad not seen this posted so I thought I would mention it.
