Mario the Baker of North Miami in Highland Park in August!

I was just at Mario the Baker in Florida and there's a big sign up saying that it's opening in Highland Park in late summer. The garlic rolls were still great.

the location is in what I thought was still highwood, a block south of mirimar on waukeegan ave. I have never heard of the company, nor Miami pizza for that matter. What is so special about them?

They don't seem to have website, though from reading Miami reviews it is yet another pizzeria.

Waukegan Avenue up to Miramar is Highland Park. Miramar is Highwood, Carlos is Highland Park. Highland Park wrapping around Highwood makes things confusing. More so now with Fort Sheridan split into the jurisdiction of different towns.

I've also known people who don't know Highland Park has a Waukegan Avenue within its boundaries. They hear Waukegan Avenue and think Waukegan Road, then drive up and down Waukegan Road in Deerfield and Bannockburn looking for a Highland Park address.

Highland Park/Highwood boundaries are confusing. I once won a bet from someone who insisted that Carlos was in Highwood.
