Fullerton and Pulaski eats?

I have to get my car e-checked this afternoon, around Fullerton and Pulaski.
Any chowish sites of note around there?

You're only a couple of miunutes from board fave Taqueria Puebla on North Avenue slightly east of Pulaski.

Carnitas Paisa is on Fullerton a few blocks east of there. Vital Information raves about it. The La Caridad grocery store at Fullerton and Central Park (not the liquor store, the bigger store adjacent to it) usually has a good selection of Mexican pastries.

HUGE Chow zone, at least nearby. On Pulaski just before (from the North) Armitage is Dino and Nicks, a long forgotten but still very good beef stand.

On Pulaski, just south of North is an excellent pozoleria, San Juan.

Jimmy's, not Gene and Judes, but of the same mien is at Pulaski and Grand. Great fries, ask for the house hot sauce.

Gloria's Roast Chicken, which I was just at (very good) is at Fullerton just before Kimball. The sign may still say Resturante Sud America or Rotisserie Chicken not Glorias.

The decent enough Peruvian place, Mi Familia is like at Fullerton and Central Park.

There's birria and tacos al pastor from a spit at Birria Huentitan on North just west of Pulaski.

Plus, Fullerton and Armitage are full of places I have my eye on, interesting spots worth checking out.

Well, after my car passed the test, I took VI's advice and met a friend at San Juan Pozoleria at 1523 N. Pulaski.
What a find. Though the waitresses, I am fairly certain, were making fun of us as we scanned the board menu, saying, "Tacos? Or burritos? Which?", they quickly stopped when they saw we meant business with orders of the Rojo and Verde pozole. Served with a fresh halved avocado, lime segments, onions, and, per our request, diced serrano chiles, the pozoles were great--good meaty chunks of pork, great toothsome hominy, and wonderful broths. I think i preferred the verde, but that's probably because i usually have the rojo.

I thought I'd (rather selfishly) bump this back to the top, and I have just found out (at very short notice) that I am going to be moving from my current Apt. (at California and Milwaukee) and have found a nice place at (you guessed it) Fullerton and Pulaski!

Does anyone have anything new to add to this thread? I noticed Carnitas Paisa when I went to see the new place yesterday and was intrigued. What kind of place is it exactly?

I had some very good pupusas some months ago near Armitage/Pulaski. I can't remember the name now, but will try to track it down and post. I especially liked the various garnishes of cabbage, etc. that came with.
