There was a mention of this spot buried in a prior thread. I've now been a couple of times, and I'm happy to recommend it. A very pleasant, neat as a pin place run by some of the nicest folks you'd ever want to meet. Roti are cooked to order and wrapped around excellent curries and jerk preps. I just had the goat. Nice big chunks of meat stewed in a chana masala sort of curry and enveloped neatly by the roti into almost a perfect cube. A little pricey at $6.75 (beef, veggie and jerk chicken are under $6), but the "sandwich" is massive and, for some reason, they gave me a discount. Perhaps early bird, since I arrived at 11:30. The house made Scotch bonnet sauce might be one of Chicago's best hot sauces.

Is there any doubt that Chatham is one of Chicago's best food neighborhoods?
Lem's was smoking big time, smelling great, though BA's was not. Lem's is great restaurant BBQ by any informed standard; maybe not as good as H1, but you can't question the process they use: apply smoke and heat to pork.
Here's my bonus pick: if you are ever stuck in Kankakee, visit Carniceria y Taqueria Gonzalez, 1933 E. Court. Very, very good pastor and lengua stuff and a nice grocery in this otherwise pretty depressing town.
