Chicago Korean Festival 2006, August 12-13

I always find this one of the better eating festivals around (and probably correlated, usually attend)

I went to Koreanfest last year for the first time and it immediately went to the top of my Chicago food fests. Lots of interesting stuff besides food.

They dump a bunch of sand in the street and you can challenge anyone to a traditional wrestling match. Very entertaining.

Martial arts demo... last year, the woman whom you assumed was just the tiny elderly MC of the show closed the demo with an awesome num chuk (sp?) display that ended with her num chukking a cup of popcorn off someone's head.

Mia Park's Illinois First band played last year, but there's nothing on the schedule for this year...
