I do hope this post falls within the guidelines of the Professional Forum topics.

Due to ever-popular cutbacks and downsizing, my position as Marketing Manager/Graphic Designer for the midwest area of a popular franchise has been eliminated.

When I started my career 5 years ago I sort of accidentally wound up doing marketing for restaurants, and almost all of my experience has been restaurant/catering/wholessale food product related. I really enjoy the industry, and ideally I'd like to stay connected in some way. I am also considering event planning and catering coordination as a possible career shift.

The pickings out on Monster, craigslist and careerbuilder are fairly slim. I thought someone in LTH land might have a lead or two. I appreciate any info or advice, thank you in advance!

If you go to the Levy Restaurants career page you'll see some stuff that might very well apply.

No worries, I was in the process of interviewing with them for a job, though timing just didn't work out as I couldn't move until next week and they wanted someone sooner. It's a very quality company filled with quality people.

although not quite the same, try cpgjoblist.com -- sometimes there are foodservice positions open...rarely, but they do occasionally appear.
