    Hello,

I am a passionate nonprofessional baker. My aspiration is to work in a bakery on weekends (without pay) so that I may firsthand observe and participate (at whatever level is appropriate) in the work that occurs in a real bakery.

If you are a baker, or know a baker who may be able to assist me I would be extremely grateful. I live in the NW suburbs, but would be willing to travel.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

I know of someone who did an apprentiship type of thing at Trotter's to Go in their pastry area. Not sure if that actually would meet your needs as a bakery, but they enjoyed it and learned a lot! Maybe give them a call.

Pasticceria Natalina has a help wanted sign in the window. Judging by their instant success and the long hours they are working, they may be interested in such an arrangement. I couldn't think of a better place to learn, especially if your tastes skew toward the Italian style of pastries.
