    i declined the position because i got a actual serving job afterwords. not fine dinning but i think it will be a good place to work. i dont know if i should mention the name but its downtown, italian, and not a chain. i wish i could of made it to tru just to look at the BOH...

    Food runners typicaly make between 5-10% of a servers tips. So, you can make some good coin. I think starting as a runner is always a good thing because it will make you respect the possition more as a server. I don't think that it would be a strech of the imagination to think that you could end up with a server possition before you know it. Tru servers make good $$$ so the demad is high for the service slots. Just make sure you inform your manager/managers that you are inerested. Lettuce, like many other companies like to promote from within, but this is only the case if you have a good relationship with thoes around you. Good luck.
